• Cone Bean Computed Tomography (CBCT) has brough a paradigm shift from 2D imaging to 3D imaging in the dental field.

• Application of CBCT range from dental implantology, oral maxillofacial surgery, orthodontic, sleep apnea, temporomandibular joints, orthognathic surgery, etc.

• The 2D imaging suffers from inherent limitations of magnification, distortion and superimposition, which is easily surpassed by CBCT.

• Dental fraternity needs to understand the way of relating the CBCT images for patient’s anatomy.
