Encouraging response from the students and the appreciation of our learned teachers spread all over the country gave us an opportunity to present the tenth revised edition of the book "GRB A Textbook of Organic Chemistry for NEET". The book has been written according to the CBSE syllabus for admission to medical professional courses across the country. The present trend in competitive examinations is the stress on an objective rather than subjective treatment of the subject matter. The medical entrance examinations of India include objective questions and assertion-reason type questions. With these objectives in mind, we have tried to present this book for the noble cause of medical aspirants. The complete text has been critically examined and thoroughly revised. Some selected objective questions are incorporated after each topic of the unit. Each chapter is provided with a synopsis, i.e., important points to remember for quick revision of the subject matter before the examination. The objective questions section has been revised in accordance with the recent questions asked in different medical entrance examinations. At the end of each chapter, objective questions according to the NCERT syllabus with exemplar problems and their hints and solutions have also been given. Suggestions for improvement of this book are always welcome with a deep sense of gratitude. It is sincerely hoped that the present extensively revised edition will be a boon to the students.
